What is a boiler protection plan?

Our boiler protection plan is designed for broken boilers that aren’t within their manufacturer's guarantee. It’s powered by Domestic & General, a leading specialist in appliance care, and some of the UK’s biggest boiler brands: Baxi, Ferroli, Glow-worm, Heatline, Ideal, Main, Potterton, Vaillant and Vokera. The protection plan offers to fix your boiler and, if you have future boiler troubles, give you approved repairs for the duration of your plan.

Can I get a boiler protection plan?

If your Baxi, Glow-worm, Heatline, Ideal, Main, Potterton, Vaillant or Vokera boiler is less than 15 years old, or your Ferroli boiler is less than 10 years old, and isn’t working properly, you can benefit from a boiler protection plan.

When your boiler’s out of guarantee, repairs for breakdowns can be expensive. With our protection plan you can get that first fix, plus approved repairs of future faults for 12 months, for a fixed monthly price. That means you don’t have a big one-off payment.

What does a boiler repair cost?

Here at, we believe it’s important for you to know exactly what you’ll pay for a boiler repair, which is why all our repairs have a fixed price.

If you choose a boiler protection plan, you’ll only pay £26.99 per month – there’s no big one-off cost. For that monthly fee, we’ll fix the initial problem with your boiler and could to repair any future faults for the duration of your plan.

If you choose a one-off boiler repair, we’ll tell you the exact cost over the phone when you book so there won’t be any surprises.

What happens if the engineer is unable to repair my boiler?

If you've chosen our protection plan and the engineer can’t make your first repair, or it would cost more than the £500 initial repair limit, we'll give you your money back.

If you choose a one-off repair and the engineer doesn’t repair your boiler, you would have to pay a call-out charge.

If you've already booked an appointment and would like to change it, give us a call on the number you were given when you booked your repair.

Who will repair my boiler?

At, we know how important your boiler is to your home. That’s why all our boiler repairs are made by engineers from your boiler’s manufacturer.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. The protection plan has a fixed monthly price. What’s more, if we don't repair your broken boiler’s initial fault, anything you’ve already paid will be refunded.

If, however, your boiler needs repairs that would cost more than the £1,500 plan limit, you may need to pay for additional repairs.

How does the ‘money back promise’ work?

If you choose our protection plan, we’ll give you your money back if we don't fix your boiler’s initial fault.

How do I pay for a protection plan?

If you choose a boiler protection plan, you’ll pay a fixed monthly price of £26.99 by Direct Debit. When you pay by Direct Debit, you’re protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. Plus, your plan will automatically renew each year, ensuring there’s no break in protection.
